Privacy Policy
Last updated Oct 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SaySoQuote ("we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and web application (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Business details you enter: business name, phone number, trade, hourly rate and logo.
- Job and quote content: job descriptions you type or speak, customer names you enter, and generated quotes.
- Payment information: collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Contact form messages: name, email and message if you contact us.
- Technical data: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider.
Browser storage
Your business profile, trial usage count and subscription status are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Quote details are encoded in the quote link itself so your customer can view it. Anyone with a quote link can view that quote, so share links only with intended recipients. Clearing your browser data removes the locally stored profile. We do not use advertising cookies.
Voice input
Voice input uses your browser's built-in speech recognition. Depending on your browser, audio may be processed by the browser provider (for example Google or Apple) under their privacy policies. We receive only the resulting text.
How we use information
To generate quotes, operate and improve the Service, process payments, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers (processors)
- OpenAI: job descriptions and your rate/trade are sent to OpenAI's API to draft quote line items. Under OpenAI's API terms, API data is not used to train their models by default.
- Stripe: subscription billing and payment processing.
- Vercel: website hosting and server logs.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Locally stored data stays on your device until you clear it.
Your choices and rights
You can clear local data in your browser at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Contact us to make a request.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post changes here with a new "Last updated" date.
